Baccarat

Having a house edge between 1 and 2 percent, the game can be considered an opportunity for beginners also. Moreover, the limited number of possible combinations and the large number of bets available would increase your chances even more.

Baccarat is also a casino game that is played free by some inexperienced players. It would give them the opportunity to study the principles of casino games, having the possibility to win some money at the same time.

History

Baccarat was invented in the 17th century in Spain or France. During that period, the borders between those countries were not so clear, so we could consider both countries as possible places for the origins of baccarat. However, the game was heavily promoted by the Royalty French house in the 19th century, and the general rules of the game remained the same even today.

The common people, the regal house, and the foreigners played the game of baccarat. This is why different versions of the game were developed. Only three of them gained enough recognition to resist even in our modern times: Chemin de fer, baccarat banque, and punto banco

Baccarat online

You would need some time to find the baccarat game under those names. Those three versions are called differently today, so the English speakers could easily find them. On the common online casino, you would only find two versions: baccarat and mini-baccarat.

The mini baccarat version has a simplified set of rules. In this case, the house splits the cards, and the player would only have to guess the winner of the current round. Therefore, only three bets are available: the dealer, the players or tie.

The stake is doubled in case you win a player's bet. It is also doubled in case you win the banker's bet, but in this case, the house would take approximately 5 % from your winnings as a commission. A tie is paid 8 times the original stake, but guessing it would be also hard.

The cards 2 to 9 would keep their respective value. The Ace is considered 1 point, while the rest of the cards are valued 0. If you get a total greater than 10 from the first two cards, the first digit of the number would be eliminated. Therefore, a 6 and a 7 totaling 13 is considered 3.

If the player or the banker would have a total less than 5, he will be entitled to another card. The game would continue this way until the banker or the dealer has a total of 8 or 9. Although a single round could be played for hours theoretically, in the common practice, the game would stop after 4 or 5 rounds.
